Wayne W. Taylor
Retired Hotel Executive
Wayne Taylor is a recently retired Hotel Executive after having spent over 35 years in the Hospitality Industry. Mr. Taylor retired in November 2014 in the capacity of Executive Vice President Global Development, based in Zurich, Switzerland, from FRHI Hotels & Resorts the parent company of leading luxury hotel brands Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. FRHI is a leading luxury hotel management company that operates 110 hotels globally.
Mr. Taylor joined FRHI as Vice President Hotel Transactions in 2004. Prior to joining FRHI, Taylor was Vice President Development for Delta Hotels & Resorts. Earlier in his career he held a variety of management positions with Delta Hotels & Resorts and KPMG in their hospitality consulting practice.
Mr. Taylor has guest lectured at several Hotel schools and Universities, including George Brown College, Guelph’s School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management, Sheridan College, Rotman School of Management and Ryerson’s School of Hospitality. He was one of the original team members that created the Canadian Hotel Investment Conference and has served on the Board of the Toronto Visitor and Convention Bureau and chaired the Advisory Board for Ryerson’s School of Hospitality.
Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Hotel and Tourism from Ryerson University and has attended several courses at Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration. Mr. Taylor currently resides in Oakville, Ontario.
