Klaus Tenter

Co-Founder, G7 Hospitality Group

Klaus built his career at Four Seasons, culminating in ten years as GM of the flagship Toronto property until 2002 when he commenced his independent advisory activities. From management trainee to general manager, Klaus rose through the ranks at Four Seasons properties throughout North America, an early standard-bearer for the company’s rising reputation for uncompromising quality.

From his native Germany to Toronto, around Canada and to the US to open the Newport Beach Four Seasons Hotel, Klaus’ reputation for excellence has evolved with that of the company over more than three decades. A dedicated mentor of young talent throughout his career, Klaus’ protégés carry on the tradition at Four Seasons and other prestige properties across the globe.

Since then, he has brought his years of luxury management experience to clients in Canada and the US, managing pre-opening and opening activities for the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto, today acknowledged as the city’s most exclusive boutique property. He has produced similar results for luxury asset owners in the Miami area, upgrading standards to achieve the highest levels of international accreditation.

Klaus is very active in professional and voluntary organisations in Toronto: he is currently a member and past president and chairman of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association and vice chairman of Tourism Toronto, as well as supporting numerous voluntary initiatives to foster training and education opportunities in the hospitality industry. He currently serves as the Bailli of Ontario for the Chaine des Rotisseurs and is member and past president of Skal club.
