Glenn Squires

CEO, Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc.

In 1997 Mr. Squires co-founded Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc., a hotel development and management company. Under his leadership, Pacrim expanded from 4 to 60 hotels through acquisitions, developments, re-positioning and refurbishments worth more than $750 million as well as through negotiations of numerous hotel management contracts.

From November, 2004 to December, 2011, Mr. Squires was also the CEO and co-founder of Holloway Lodging (TSX:HLC), a hotel real estate investment company.

In 1994 Mr. Squires was instrumental in the start-up of a hospitality division within Fortis Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Fortis Inc., (TSX:FTS) a diversified, international electric utility holding company with investments primarily in regulated electric distribution utilities in Canada and the Caribbean region.

With over 35 years of tourism and hospitality development and management experience, Mr. Squires is the Past Chair of the IHG Owners Association. This Association represents the interests of owners and operators of more than 3,400 InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) hotels in the United States, Europe, China, the Middle East, Africa, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.. He is current Chair of IHG’s Crowne Plaza Brand Committee and Chair of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia. He was awarded “Developer of the Year” (Canada) by IHG; “International Development Award” by Wyndham Worldwide and received the “Vision Award” from the Nova Scotia Tourism Industry Association.

Mr. Squires is also very active in the community by supporting such activities as the Pacrim Scholarship Fund at Nova Scotia’s Mount Saint Vincent University’s Tourism and Hospitality Degree program. and Give Kids the World, a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
