David Clark

General Manager, Atlantica Hotel Halifax

David Clark is the General Manager for Atlantica Hotel Halifax and oversees the Atlantica Oak Island Resort and Conference Centre on the shoreline of southwest Nova Scotia.  Mr. Clark has almost 30 years experience in the Nova Scotia hotel market where he began his career as a kitchen steward at the Citadel Inn Halifax in the late 1980s after attending the Hotel Restaurant Management Program with NSCC.

David has extensive experience with both branded and independent hotels and has operated properties in focused service environments through full service properties with large food and beverage outlets.  Most of Mr. Clark’s experience was gained through working with Hilton Hotels and Centennial Hotels (A family owned independent hotel company).  His “no, is not an option” approach to doing business in the hospitality industry has proved to be a successful formula.

Mr. Clark has attended several courses at Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and Guelph’s School of Hospitality.
